Guest Designer: Liana Suwandi and a GIVEAWAY!

Hi everyone! I am so excited to introduce you to this week's Guest Designer Liana Suwandi.  Let's get to know Liana a little better ...

Describe yourself in 3 words. . . quiet, caring, creative.

My guilty pleasure is . . . coffee and Netflix.

You’ll never find me without . . .  my iPhone.  I love that I can check my email from anywhere.

You might be surprised to know . . . I learned sewing because of scrapbooking.

My least favorite chore is . . . sigh - laundry and ironing! It’s a never ending job.

I started scrapbooking in . . . 2001 but did not get into it seriously until 2005.

My favorite thing about this hobby is. . . being inspired by the crafters around me and making new friends though this hobby is amazing!

If I were a Pebbles product I would be . . . Button Candy Dots. These buttons are away too cute and I have to use them on every project.  LOVE it!

Liana created so many amazing projects for us today and all with a party theme - our theme of the week!  Here's what Liana had to say ... "When I found out that the theme of the week is “It's A Party!” my brain started cooking up some ideas and these are what I came up with: a display layout, frame, guest book and thank you card would look fun and adorable on a party table.  I love to plan a party even for a small gathering.  I really enjoy making cards as much as layouts and altered stuff. I couldn’t help but mix and match the Floral Lane and Fresh Goods collections from Pebbles."

Liana created this adorable layout using both our Fresh Goods and Floral Lane collections and some fun techniques.  Here's what Liana had to say ... "I wanted to play with spray ink to create something messy and yet still focus on the pretty papers.  To achieve this look first layer modeling paste on white cardstock and let it dry. When it is dry spray the ink multiple times to create various splatters on your cardstock background."

Here's what Liana had to say about her next project ... "Sometimes I get carried away by putting too many embellishment on my layouts, but journaling is a must especially when I make layouts for my girls. I really hope that they’ll appreciate it when they’re bigger and old enough to understand. For this layout I included my journaling on the flip side of the small photo."

Here's what Liana had to say about her next project ... "The sentiments came from a Hallmark “Stuck on you” pad.  I cut squares and inked them, adhered this onto chipboard and embellished with all sorts of goodies."

Here's what Liana had to say about her next project ... "I’m a huge fan of using paper rosettes as a focal point of my embellishments. I covered and measured a simple notebook and embellished with Fresh Goods papers.  I added some spray mist and yellow glitter for a festive look.  I made this guest book for my girls upcoming 4th birthday party."

Here's what Liana had to say about her next project ... "For the leftover scraps, I usually make cards and keep it them in a special giveaway box. The inspiration behind this “Thank you” card came from a pinwheel ad. It’s so simple to make this. Cut small triangles from patterned papers, make card base from kraft paper, add swirls and tag. I added some rub on words “Thank you” on top of a tag sticker."

And here's what Liana had to say about her final project ... "The inspiration came for the sentiment “NICE having you around” from the moment I received this stamp.  I knew that I have to make something from it. So first, I stamped with Bordeaux ink color and cut out and stamped image.  I stamped again onto paper photo with Bordeaux ink.  I hand cut the one on photo paper and used only the word “Having you around” to highlight the word. Add yellow glitter on the word “NICE.”
