Theme: What I Did This Summer

Do you remember when you were in grade school and the teacher asked you to write the typical "What I Did This Summer" essay?  Well we've decided to partake in this tried and true tradition - Pebbles style!  This week on the Pebbles blog our design team members will be sharing projects all about what they did this summer.  So sit back, relax, and be ready to be inspired while we see what some of our design team members have been up to!

Design team member Jennifer Yates created this fun layout to document her family's vacation to Destin, Florida.  I love how Jennifer created dimension and "faux" sand with glitter and snow tech!  Here's what Jennifer had to say ... "We had a wonderful time on our trip to Destin, Florida. I wanted to really give it a beachy feel to play off the photo.  With a variety of collections and my Cricut Expression I created a tropical scene to remember the great fun we had.  I also added a bit of glitter and snow tech to recreate the white sand beaches!"

Design team member Anna Sigga documents her summer travels around Iceland on this stunning layout.  Here's what Anna had to say ... "We traveled a lot around Iceland this summer with family and friends and of course we experienced both sunny and rainy days. The girls had the time of their lives traveling from one town to another but Helga's fave pastime this summer was throwing stones in the ocean. She could have stayed there all day and when she saw a water she immediately asked us to help her find stones to throw in it."

Design team member Kristen Swain created a review layout using lots of photos and papers from the Floral Lane collection.  Here's what Kristen had to say ... "I love the soft colors of the Floral Lane collection, and if you didn't know, the textures of this collection of papers are divine, very linen like! I love adding a large block to my layout as a background, then layering under and over it to create depth and dimension to my layout. This time I added a white background, my patterned papers, then I added a white block over top of it all. It breaks up all the colors and patterns and lets the eye rest. Since my photos are pretty busy this is a good thing! I also fussy cut out small flowers from a patterned paper, more value for my money!  I even used part of the tear off strip ( Pebbles decorates the back of these) to add my green "leaves" to the flowers."
