Sketchy Thursday

For today's edition of "Sketchy Thursday" I asked some of our design team members to create a project based on this fabulous sketch by Becky Fleck.

Design team member Stephanie Baxter created this gorgeous layout following Becky's sketch.  Here's what Stephanie had to say ... "I’ve been wanting to scrap these photos from a holiday a few years ago for so long now, but was feeling really uninspired because I just didn’t have any ideas how to use them. So when I was shown the sketch for my assignment on the blog here, I was so happy because I knew that these photos would fit perfectly. I stayed quite true to the original sketch, just replacing the 4x6 photos with 3x4s instead, and slightly adapting the placement of the embellishments. I used a bunch of Happy Go Lucky products on this layout, as the bright, summery colours match the colours in my photos perfectly.”

Design team member Savitri Wilder was inspired to create this beautiful layout of her sweet little one.  Here's what Savitri had to say ... "I have two little princesses in my life and today I want to share with you my youngest. Like all toddlers, she's in awe with everything. Like all moms, I think she's the most beautiful little baby girl. When I saw the sketch for today's post I immediately thought of these photos. The sketch was so fun that the page didn't take very long to come together (it took me longer deciding which pretty paper to use!!). Although most everything came from the Ever After line, the small pop of black and white from the Mr. & Mrs. line made the butterflies really stand out. I totally adore the buttons that Pebbles created for the Ever After line. Cute flower buttons don't come around everyday you know :). Oh, here's a little tip: Don't throw away the small strip of paper that's under each pattern paper. You know, where the Pebbles' brand and paper name's at. After you trim this piece, use it as is or like me make it prettier using a border punch."

Design team member Eva Pizzaro created this bright and cheerful layout and included 4 photos instead of 2.  Here's what Eva had to say ... ""I love sketches! Not having to think about the design of the page makes everything so much easier and faster, that way I can concentrate all my creativity in choosing the embellishments and adding some special details. This page came out in no time, Pebbles stickers and other embellishments are so easy to work with and the ones in the Happy Go Lucky collection are some of my favorites!"
