Mix & Match Monday

Happy Monday!  I hope you all had a great weekend.  Time to mix things up a bit on the Pebbles blog as some of our design team members show off their creative skills while mixing and matching products from several Pebbles collections.

Design team member Anna Sigga created her own custom flower embellishments using patterned papers from several different Pebbles collections.  Here's what Anna had to say ... "I love mixing different Pebbles collections, so for today's assignment I decided to use papers from three different collections to create one of a kind flowers. After I had cut out all the flowers needed I layered them until I was happy with the look and thickness of my flower. Then I fastened the layers with a brad and started fluffing each pedal to make it more "real" like. This is a fun way to use different collections to create your own limited edition flowers. ;D"

Design team member Stephanie Baxter is celebrating her birthday today (Happy Birthday Stephanie!) and is sharing some birthday cards as well.  Here's what Stephanie had to say ... "I’m so thrilled to be sharing a project with you today because ... it’s my birthday! I thought this was the PERFECT opportunity to share some birthday cards with you that I made using the Cats and Dogs, Twitterpated and Tree House collections. I  knew I wanted to use the sticker with the cat sitting on the chair so that I could write a sentiment saying, “Have a purr-fect birthday!” (so cheesy, but I love it!) so I used that sticker as my starting point. For my other card I had the idea of using the heart-shaped tag as a balloon, and adhering some baker’s twine as the balloon string. From there, I chose various patterned papers to match and was able to create two fun birthday cards. I know I broke ‘the rules’ a little bit with some of the colours that I used together (red and pink), but it’s good to break the rules a bit, especially when you’ve got something that you want to use that is as cute as that cat sticker!”
